Monaco Bulcock Busking Festival
In association with the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce, the Caloundra Music Festival (CMF) presents the inaugural Bulcock Busking Festival (BBF) from 7 to 9 October 2011. The Bulcock Busking Festival will aim to inject a vibrant atmosphere into Bulcock Street and Bulcock Beach during the Music Festival by attracting attendees and the local community to the Caloundra CBD during the festival weekend.
Bulcock Busking Festival Details
The BBF takes place over the 3 days of the Caloundra Music Festival. Performance times are planned for Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday morning, with 36 buskers each performing twice giving 72 performance times of 40 minutes each. This will occur at eight locations – four in Bulcock Street and four in Bulcock Beach.
Winners
Winners will be chosen by a public vote with both an open and youth section, with both winners winning a performance slot on the Music Festival program on Sunday afternoon. The open winner will receive $1,000 and the youth winner $500. Voters will also be able to win prizes by entering. Prizes will include an accommodation package, CMF promotional packs, gift vouchers etc.
