For the last 6 weeks, The Original Selection process has been happening with showcase performance nights at Kings Beach Tavern.

Established, emerging and youth artists from the Sunshine Coast and beyond have been battling it out for their chance to play at the Caloundra Music Festival.

The seven lucky bands that are still in contention are Freak Morice (pictured), Mayan Fox, The Deckchairs, Busby Marou, Emily Wenham, The Vagrant City Scandal and Big Bang Boss Kelly.

The Original Selection finale will be held this SATURDAY 10 JULY at KINGS BEACH TAVERN. The action kicks off at 6:00pm. 

The winning prize includes a $4000 recording package and the invaluable experience of playing on the bill with Powderfinger and Jet on the Friday night of the festival!

Come along to cheer on your favourite band!  Entry is free and you are ensured of a super night of entertainment. Plus there are loads of great door prizes to be won - including festival tickets!
