Original Selection Terms & Conditions
All bands must certify that they have read and agree to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations of the Caloundra Music Festival Original Selection.
- Members of bands can be of all ages
- The members of 'youth bands' must be born after 1986.
- No member can perform in more than one band unless previously approved by the Original Selection adjudicator
- Main contact person as indicated on the registration form is the person who certifies that the details on the forms are complete and correct
- The organisers reserve the right to veto musicians who are not appropriate for the Caloundra Music Festival
- PA and backline supplied but bands must provide their own instruments
- Performance times for the Caloundra Music Festival and the Original Selection will be allocated by the organiser
- Bands must be available to play on either 7,8 or 9 October 2011 for the Caloundra Music Festival
- Bands must be available to play on the allocated dates in June, July and August 2011 for the Original Selection.
- The nominated contact will be advised of each band’s drawn playing time
- Bands must report to the organisers for briefing at the time designated by the organiser on their drawn night
- Each band will be allocated 25 minutes playing time. 15 minutes will be allocated per band for setup and pack down.
- Backing track restriction applies, please contact the organisers for approval
- No stage diving, pyrotechnics, or any behaviour that may endanger the audience or event participants. Abuse of supplied sound equipment or venue property will disqualify the competing offender(s), who will also be held financially responsible for any damage caused
- No illegal substances will be allowed in the venue or backstage. No cigarettes on or back-stage
- Only band members will be allowed on the stage and back-stage. Bands will be responsible for their own equipment and event organisers and the venue will not accept liability for the damage or loss of instruments during the event. All Band items/instruments and equipment cases should be labelled and identified with band name
- If any Band takes equipment that does not belong to them away from the venue they have to return it immediately to the organiser (or agreed alternative) regardless of time or day
- Decisions of the adjudicator are final and no discussion will be entered into Failure to comply with the terms and conditions may lead to disqualification from the event.
