Melbourne’s Ryan Meeking has just returned from Atlanta, Georgia where the band recorded one of the most anticipated releases of 2010. Produced by Nick DiDia (Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine, Powderfinger, Bruce Springsteen) this album is the culmination of two years of relentless touring and countless broken down cars, playing national headliners, and supports including Chris Isaak, Train, Clare Bowditch, Rob Thomas and Dan Sultan.
From Woodford Folk Festival to the Deep Roots Festival, from Melbourne’s Federation Square to the Australian Open Tennis, Ryan Meeking has been hard at it fine tuning the bands impressive live show. The band capped off their two months recording in Atlanta with a live showcase at the Big Apple’s eclectic Norwood Club for New York’s finest and returned to Melbourne with a sell out headlining show at the Northcote Social Club. Comesee why Rolling Stone magazine headlined “Ryan Meeking Will Inherit The Earth” (Feb 2010)
“Meeking’s vocal shows that same haunting quality (of Jeff Buckley) before it effortlessly soars above some beautiful and shimmering acoustic based guitar based tunes. The result is spellbinding. 4 stars”
Paul Smith, Sydney Morning Herald.
