Influenced by the Motown era, Amali’s music is timeless, drawing inspiration from old school legends like Marvin Gaye & Stevie Wonder to contemporary counterparts such as Cee Lo Green & Amy Winehouse.
With a band comprised of some of the best musicians in Australia, Amali’s live show has seen her grace the stage of Byron Bay Blues and Roots Festival, Southern Roots Festival, tour with Seal, Naturally 7, Paris Wells The Bamboos & perform in Asia, Sri Lanka & the USA.
2012 saw Amali co-write and feature on the infectious Triple J hit – Dr Don Don’s “Good Thing”, and release her catchy first single
“Leave Me Alone”. 2013 saw Amali win the Stephen Schwartz Songwriting Award as part of APRA’s Professional Development Awards & release her 2nd single, the John Lennon International Song Writing Contest winning track, “Knock You Out”.
She released her debut album “Back In Time”, produced by super musician and producer, David Ryan Harris (John Mayer, India Arie, Lupe Fiasco) featured on Channel 9’s Mornings & Seven’s the Morning Show as well as a sold out east coast run of dates for her album tour.
2014 saw Amali showcase in Los Angeles and record her brand new self produced EP due for release in mid 2015.
