It was at age 11 that Ava discovered her love of music through an old acoustic guitar left in the corner of her dad’s office. Frustrated from early music lessons, Ava decided to teach her self, guitar and the early challenge of song writing, she has since blossomed into one of the brightest young talents on the Sunshine Coast.
It was obvious from an early stage that Ava had a gift and this came to fruition when she was asked to pen a song for film maker Matt Inglis for his short film entitled ‘Cyber Sin’ featuring Wolf Creek star John Jarrett. This amazing opportunity opened not only the doors to future invitations to perform but was confirmation to Ava that this is the career path she was destined for.
Still only 16 years of age, Ava has now performed at the Noosa Long Weekend, the Tamworth Country Music Festival, as a opening act for Rebecca O’Connor’s many sold out shows (Rebecca O’Connor is Simply the Best as Tina Turner) and was recognized in teen magazine ‘Dolly’ as a future star. Her most recent accolade came when she was invited to sing back up vocals on The Amity Afflictions latest album.
With an undeniable unique vocal style, Ava is now being recognised by some of the industries biggest names, with possible record contracts in the near future. This is a talent not to be missed.
