Born in Japan to a Taiwanese mother and an Irish father, Deena grew up ‘culturally confused’ in Brisbane where she developed her unique sound. Lone Wolf is the debut independent album from Star Central Magazine’s Female Artist of the Month, Deena. The album, recorded at Frontline Studios in Orange County, California, is a melding of simple melodies and meaningful lyrics. Her voice, the well crafted lyrics, and the simple composition marry together to create a treat for the ears. Brisbane’s Traxx Radio has hailed Lone Wolf as Australian album of the year and her first single 'Wanderlust' at #16 on the Top 50 of 2012.
In 2011, Deena lost a dear friend, an artist embroiled in showcasing passions, and followed suit in his way of living life passionately and without fear. Lone Wolf was written with raw honesty and as a showcase of her loves, personal triumphs, losses and dreams.
With such a short career span, Deena has already performed for crowds in metropolitan and regional areas of Queensland, NSW and Victoria as well as internationally in US, Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. She has also played in festivals such as Filo Fiesta, Scorcherfest and Music on the Glade.
